The Summer Symposium
W
we're assaulting your palace
by throwing the shards of
ill-placed glass
an opportunity to strike
is the first sign of
possibility
and
the only step needed
to force your
hand.
Tuxedos and Ash, Highway Misfortune.
He was the biggest, most
accomplished dog.
A prize for his owner!
Oh, how his coat shined,
and he was the strongest
and fastest,
and other dogs fled
and their owners wringed their hands
at this dog.
He jumped, and ran, he cared not.
And his owner was content until
one day
the sun didn't
rise for this dog.
And all his accomplishes were for naught,
and when the owner went to the dog park
he was laughed at,
and pointed at
and forced to leave.
Weirdo.
I Got An Angel in my Blanket?
Trash can living
with mono-syllabic
meanings,
I've grown weary if not
accustomed, disgusted
with this place,
so I'll intrude,
on the rest of the world
and look for my place within it
and chase down the streets
until I see where they really
end.
Quirky-N-Smirky
My footsteps are beating on the pavement
I'm hoping I'm not a
step
too slow.
And behind me I hear them closing in on me
like waves crashing off the shore.
My footsteps beat on the pavement
with the cataclysmic force,
but if they do not
then I will be beaten
So i keep my footsteps beating
because i like the prospect
of feeling your heart beating
for more then just last night.
Vaudeville
You're so afraid!
But we loved it all the same,
and each other
until the ends of the earth
and I'm there, it's
unavoidable.
Pull the rust out of your eyes
and shake the fear
of
your inability to love.
